Markham Irish are super excited to announce that we have 2 senior men and 2 senior women’s players coming to join our club for the summer! All 4 are in their early twenties, excited to see the world, and are excellent rugby players! They will be profiled in upcoming editions of the Blarney, but for now, we want to make sure they have a fantastic experience on and off the field. They’ll be arriving in late May, and staying until the end of our seasons (late August). In order to make their experience the best it can be, we’re looking for support from our community
Accommodations:
In order to have the best experience, we’d love to have them billeted in homes with Canadian families so they can best experience our culture and environment. Each host will receive substantial financial support for hosting a player
Jobs:
Each player will be arriving with a work VISA and raring to go! We are organizing a variety of job opportunities for them. They will be available days, evenings and weekends, just not Tuesday/Thursday evenings or Saturday afternoons! If you have an opportunity, or know someone who does, we’d love to put you in touch. A true win-win-win for everyone involved!
