Inside our Clubhouse Renovations

If you haven’t had a chance to walk around our Clubhouse on one of your visits to the pitch this season, then you really need to.  What you will find is a renovated Clubhouse that marries our past history and our exciting present.  All thanks to the contributions of some incredibly generous people and companies.

Our changerooms have had a massive overhaul.  Thank-you to the donation of custom sports stalls by Rob Fenwick and the people at Spectrum Built, our athletes as well as our guest teams can enjoy preparing for their matches in a professional environment.

This massive change however, would not have been possible without the incredible contribution of labour and resources provided by Melissa Brown and Darren Silk of BonaVista Pools.  Through Melissa’s donation of materials, and Darren’s incredible renovation skills, they poured new resin floors in all of our changerooms, assembled changing stalls, installed a filtered water bottle fill station, and brought to life our “Championship Wall” as well as the jerseys that overhang our images of two former Irish players.

Standing in the main entrance of our Clubhouse, you will get the chance to truly appreciate  the combination of our past and our present. Looking past the “Championship Wall” that celebrates decades of accomplishments, you will find our “Sponsorship Banner” highlighting

the logos of our incredible 2025 Season sponsors, as well as the “Timeline of Jerseys” above the bar that demonstrates a Club pride in our rich history.

One of the more impactful images however, will likely be the incredible paintings of Markham Irish Alumni and National Team Members Andrew Coe and Charity Williams.  These incredible ‘larger than life’ paintings are the result of a partnership with Bill Crothers Secondary Students Rachel Bond and Kylie Hamill, under the guidance of art teacher James Ruddle.  These paintings make people stop and admire the incredible passion for the sport brought to life under their donated hanging jerseys.

Once grabbing a cold beverage at the bar, and before joining friends on our incredible patio to watch a game of rugby on what is arguably the best pitch in Ontario, you will likely stop and admire our “Gallery Wall”. A collection of framed photos of past and present images that truly exemplifies the spirit of this great game.  If you look close, you will see current players in their youth, alumni that are no longer playing but clearly demonstrating a love for our Club, and likely a few members that will be on the sidelines coaching or watching.

If you haven’t had a chance to check us out…please do…because if our Clubhouse alone doesn't inspire you, the Club members that occupy these spaces and the incredibly welcoming vibe they give off will.
