Forged Together: An Unforgettable Season for Our Junior Boys

This season was a special one for our Junior Boys program, with both our U16 and U18 players taking part in partnerships that created new opportunities to compete, develop, and grow.

Our U18 Boys were part of Forged Rugby Alliance East, partnering with the Vaughan Yeomen's throughout the season. Bringing players from both clubs together allowed them to compete at a high level while building new connections, learning from one another, and representing the growing Forged program. Their hard work paid off as they finished 3rd in the Central West Region.

A special congratulations also goes to our Forged West partners, the Caledon Cavaliers and Brampton Beavers, who came together to represent the other half of the Forged Alliance at Provincials. Their hard work throughout the season earned them a Bronze medal at the Provincial Championships. Congratulations to both clubs on an outstanding finish! 🥉

At the U16 level, our Junior Boys partnered with the Caledon Cavaliers and put together an incredible undefeated season. From the first whistle to the final match, the team continued to build momentum and confidence, carrying that success all the way to the Provincial Championships where they secured Gold.

These results are worth celebrating, but what makes the season particularly exciting is what happened beyond the scoreboard. Through the Forged Rugby Alliance, our players had opportunities to train, compete, and build relationships beyond their home club. And the season isn't quite over yet. This October, our Junior Boys will take their rugby to the Cayman Islands for a 7s tour, giving them another opportunity to compete, experience rugby in a new environment, and represent Markham Irish on an international stage.

From regional finishes to provincial medals, it's been a season to remember for our Junior Boys. And still more to come.
