Markham Irish Canadian Rugby Club  (MICRC) aims to ensure that all people irrespective of their age, gender, ability, race, religion, ethnic origin, creed, colour, nationality, social status or sexual orientation have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in the game of Rugby Union at all levels and in all roles.

By-Laws Related to the Conduct of Business and Affairs 

These By-laws relate to the general conduct of the affairs of the Markham Irish Canadian Rugby Club Inc. (“MICRC”)

Child Protection Policy

The Markham Irish Canadian Rugby Club is committed to providing children with a safe and welcoming environment in which to participate in the sport of Rugby. The purpose of this Policy is to set guidelines for effectively managing a safe environment for children while they learn and play Rugby, and enjoy its related activities such as travel and tours.

Rowan's Law

The legislation is designed to create a safer environment for competitive amateur athletes, children and youth to play sport.

Vulnerable Sector Screening (VSS)

The vulnerable sector screening was established to provide screening of individuals who intend on working or volunteering with the vulnerable sector.

Red Card Procedure

Rugby Ontario and Toronto Rugby have detailed regulations to be followed when a player receives a red card from the referee during a game. These regulations place obligations on the club for actions to be taken and the timing of those actions.

Smoke Free Policy

Ontario is taking action to protect children and youth from the harmful effects of smoking.

Markham Irish Canadian Rugby Club's emergency action plan for 150 Austin Drive.

COVID-19 Vaccination Policy

This policy requires that, in accordance with the terms set out in the attached, all persons subject to this policy be vaccinated for COVID-19 or obtain an approved exemption.

Risk Management Plan

The Level of Risk can be represented by multiplying the severity of a hazard by the probability of the hazard presenting itself after your control measures have been implemented.

Failure to adhere to these policies may result in Disciplinary Action being taken by the Club against the individual concerned.
