U14/U16/U18 Girls

Markham Irish is a great entry point for young people to start learning and enjoying rugby!  The program is set up to allow young players to learn and develop skills before introducing rucking, tackling, and set-piece play. Teams are co-ed until U14, and non-contact until U12.  Skill development and team play are primary focuses and are always taught with an eye to player safety.  Our junior programs are designed to prepare for the "next level" as they grow, and many players have gone on to represent the club provincially and nationally. Junior programs run from April to August, with practice on Mondays and Wednesdays at 150 Austin Dr.  Games are typically in a "festival" format on Saturdays for the younger teams, while U16/U18 usually play Wednesdays while in season.
