A Strong Building Season for our Women’s Team
Our theme this season was BUILD, and that is exactly what our Women's team accomplished.
Building a strong team doesn't happen overnight. It takes time, commitment, patience, and the willingness to keep showing up and putting in the work, even when the results don't always go your way.
We finished 7th out of 8 teams in the TRU Senior Women's Premiership, but the standings don't tell the whole story. Our team battled hard and finished every game strong, showing resilience, determination, and a commitment to one another right through to the final whistle.
This season tested our team in many ways, but it also gave us the opportunity to see exactly what we are made of. With nearly half of our roster made up of U18 players, this season was an opportunity for our younger athletes to step into senior rugby, gain valuable experience, build confidence, and learn what it takes to compete at the next level. Alongside our experienced players, they have helped lay the foundation for something much bigger than a single season.
Of course, we always want the wins, and we believe they will come. But right now, there is important work happening. We are building experience. We are building confidence. Most importantly, we are building a culture that will last for years.
